Bath Ritual

The Ultimate Ritual for Mind, Body and Spirit

The ritual of bathing is as old as time. Revered by queens, emperors and shamans as the ultimate act of self-love and beauty.
Today we are lucky to enjoy bathing in our own homes. This simple yet hugely powerful ritual brings multiple health benefits on the mind, body and spirit.

Bathing has been shown to boost the immune system by boosting circulation. It is also a great natural analgesic (pain reliever) and helps ease muscles and joints particularly with the use of bath salts. In addition to numerous physical benefits such as reduction in blood pressure, cardiovascular health and even blood sugar management. Bathing helps with insomnia - a bath before bed helps relax the body and mind and encourage a deep relaxing sleep.

It has been scientifically proven that a bath will melt your stress away - A German study showed that a 40 degrees Celsius bath for half an hour boosted mood and regular bathing was more effective in reducing depression than a workout. Bathing resulted in less tension, anxiety and depression. Adding bath oils can significantly boost this action, in particular Jasmine which is high in a relaxing molecule called indole - nature’s natural anti-stress remedy.

The shamans of South America use bathing as a very deep and spiritual ritual. Adding flowers and their oils to the bath and soaking in the water is the greatest act of attracting good luck, love, friendship, prosperity and wealth. You simply make your intention, light a candle (preferably white), pour the oil into the bath, soak for 20 minutes. When you get out allow the oils in the bath to remain on your skin and allow the good luck, prosperity and love to flow.
