Getting ready for Spring…

The days are getting longer and the sun is shining more frequently and the beautiful spring flowers are starting to peep out.  It’s defintely my favourite time of the year with new life and new energy. The change of each season presents its own opportunities and pit falls. Generally every change of season means low energy and a tendency to catch colds. Colds can represent two things a low immune system or the opportunity for the body to cleanse itself. Spring is best known for the spring clean cleaning our homes, cupboards, throwing out old clothes and tidying the corners so a good cleanse will boost both the immune system and allow the body to prepare for the onslaught of hay fever. Here is my to do list for perfect spring health.

Boost energy and the immune system by taking Super Tonic for at least the month of March- just 15 drops twice a day with provide the system with a noticeable boost. 5 days before the spring equinox (March 20th) the official first day of spring not only cleanse your house but also cleanse your body. Our 10 day Detox Programme along with a diet enriched with fruits, vegetables, salads and whole grains will help the body transition into summer seamlessly with a flatter tummy and  a smoother silhouette.  Here is the recipe for my favourite spring salad . You can find more recipes in Cleansing your body chapter of The Organic Pharmacy Book.
